    Mustang Seat

Ok i have done alot of reading in the last 24 hours on hear about th seat and how to mod it to fit the newer warriors. I keep coming across a few people that were able to get it all to work without drilling or changin anything on the bike. Can i get pics and instructions of what you guys did exactly? All i seem to find are instructions on how to drill and move brackets.

    Keeping this separate on purpose:

The rider seat can be modified with no changes to the bike.

The passenger seat mount requires moving the rear bracket (drilling two holes).  Those who didn't do this have a passenger seat that moves around since the rear isn't fastened.  That's not good IMO Devil

i have to disagree with arizona, i was a bit iffy on jsut puttin the pillion on without rear restraints as well but i tried it and it doesnt move in the rear ar all and my passenger and i have put several thousand miles on it and the rear has not had any troubles as of yet. i also did not want to drill holes in my fender becasue that just scared me.

That's good news.  The guys I know and the posts I've read say the Vintage Tour passenger seat jiggles around on '04+ bikes.  That being said, more recently there have been a few guys who didn't mention any passenger seat mods.  Is it possible that Mustang lengthened the passenger seat's rear connector 'finger' to also reach the fender mounting loop on 04+ bikes?

i dont beleive they lengthened the finger but on the "finger" that connects to the housing, underneath the drivers seat, maybe they shortened that because it is a snug fit and takes a little pursuasion to make it bolt up but once it is on there its pretty tight good enough for my specs. but then again different strokes for different folks if i werent too chicken to drill in my fender i would have done that route it i didnt think it was sturdy enough.... my .02 ha

Unless Mustang lengthens the rear pillion 4" that's not going to happen in this lifetime Surprise Confused

    Re: Mustang Seat

I got a mustang seat on my 07 and all I needed to so was buy a older seat bracket and it went right on, I dident buy the rear pillion though becasue I never have a passenger  and it looks good matched uo with the mustang.
