Keep in mind you can get a little more fuel in your tank by standing it
upright, NOT leaning it on the sidestand. It is not a lot but every
ounce counts when trying to go the distance
In my '06 I have the same 10.25:1 pistons, cams, big air kit, PCIII, and V&H propipe and get 50-52 mpg @ 65mph taking it somewhat easy. When tearing up the Catskill Mts. I get around 46mpg. Keep in mind this is with the Shitty New York fuel as well. Other states with BP fuel I will get even better. I have had my bike dyno tuned with a custom map for this setup. Stock gearing on the bike as well.
A good Designer is not the one who takes you from "What you have" to "what you want", but the one who takes you from "what you want" to "what you didn't even know you wanted".
