    '04 Rear axle nut pitch

I've searched this site but can't find anything that actually tells me the thread pitch of the M18 rear axle and nut. Anyone have this info? Would really appreciate the help.

    Thanx

my pitch gauge is at work but I can get the info late afternoon if someone doesnt answer first. Almost everything on our bike is 1 or 1.25

Thanx Scott...I'm thinking that it's 18mm x 1.25...I want to buy a titanium axle nut for the bike...hell, maybe even a titanium axle! Yes

LOL are you a little heavy in the rear? Would help the warp/bending that sometimes happens.

No, not overweight, but I do have a PHAT ass! Cool

I just want titanium for weight savings and the look...to match the blue anodized titanium I already have on the front end and my front pulley side cover screen.

Alan, thanks...I finally got the rear wheel off today and took out the thread gauge....18 x 1.5 it is, Thanks though for the info.

By the "self locking" feature I';m assuming that you are talking about the extra thick washer that goes underneath the axle nut? If I get the titanium nut, I will be using the proprietary thread locker recommended by the manufacturer. Am I on the right track? And also, my forged wheels only require half the factory torque spec for that nut, or 55lbs/ft, not 110, FYI Wink

    Thanx again
