    brake and clutch cable help

I've found some really clean looking clutch and brake controls from Joker Machine.  They list different sizes for the line inputs.  And all are standard sizes.  I am assuming that the Warrior is going to be metric.  If they are metric, how much trouble would it be to just change the lines and controls to standard and get them to work?

Re: brake and clutch cable help

Clutch would be easy, just find a place where you can order a cable by length.  The brake, however, will be another story.  You'd have a hard time changing just one end of the line from metric to SAE.  It's a banjo fitting on the calipers.  I would assume the metric and SAE sizes would be pretty close to one another so you may be able to use the stock bolt through the banjo fitting.  Let's see if someone has experience with this.  Mean time, how about  a link to these controls?

i broke the banjo fitting of the rear brake line to my forward controls, took it down to a local shop that repairs lines such as this, 10 minutes later and $10.00 short in the wallet i left outta there with a nicely repaired brake line so with that said  i do believe you can make it work

I am trying to do the same thing with arlen ness controls. I found out that you have to get custom cables.Harley fittings up top,and yamaha on the bottom. BMS motorsports can fix you up with any of these cables.Unless someone has figured out how to modify our yamaha cables to fit harley controls.

Make sure you get the 11/16" for the dual caliper application.  I looked at the same set (I think) but decided to go with the HHI control but in 9/16" cause I'm going down to a single caliper in the front.  Here's a link for the one's I looked at... not sure what price you were quoted... maybe this are cheaper?

Idea [I] Front Brake Hydraulics 101

The stock Warrior Master Cylinder (MC) is 14mm bore = 0.5512" diameter

If retaining the OEM dual frt calipers you'll want the 9/16" bore = 0.5625" diameter which is slight larger than the stock MC.

    • The larger 9/16" bore size will very slightly diminish the front braking forces because of the larger area and less psi at the calipers. This larger displacemet will also produce a firmer feel at the lever!

With a single 4-piston OEM caliper you'll want a smaller bore yet than 9/16" to increase the psi at the caliper. Other considerations would be to install a single 6-piston ISR unit to regain braking. Also, consider a radial MC and other high performance brake products to regain your losses!
