    Centerline:
Harley will continue with its odd penchant for putting one front disc on one model and two discs up front on other very similar models.

So will Yamaha, see certain members of the V Star family.

Shag why not ask for MotoGP brakes or at the very least a set of Mono block radial mount Brembo's, I mean if it's braking power you're after, there are much better options than the Warrior's set-up.

Well,  I got to test ride it on Saturday.  The Demo van was in Hartford.

    My impressions (w/o B.S.):

Rider position is comfortable from the waist up, good posture relaxed arms; and a little tight from the waist down (32" inseam), the footpegs felt to close.  I disliked the seat because it felt slippery and I kept sliding up against the tank.

The steering was light, nimble and quick side to side.  I was disappointed that  the front forks are "ordinary" and without all the adjustments needed to set the bike up properly.  I thought the front brakes worked great but that the forks dived alot (too much) under hard breaking.

The engine pulled well from idle to redline but the vibration was unbearable. There was a sweet spot from 3000-3300 rpm where the bike was quiet. At any other RPM the mirrors were useless, and the footpegs and handlebars buzzed enough to numb my feet and fingers.   There is minimal engine braking.  When you get off the throttle, the bike just pushes on through.  I didn't get pitched forward the way I do on the Warrior or SV.  That made getting off the throttle control easier and requires more use of the actual brakes.

Overall Impression:  A great bike so long as you set your performance standards to sometime in the '70s - '80s, and/or have to have a Retro-Look Harley.  It's performance is comparable to the 650cc class of Jap VTwins.   For the buyer who's really in it for the performance,  the Jap 650cc or 1000cc Vtwin sport bikes would be a better choice.

It looks great and was fun to ride, but I won't be trading in my SV any time soon.
