Same here. It's almost as addicting as rswarrior.com. I don't post here much, but I usually check it 3-4 times a day. Same with Facebook.

I think MySpace is more flexible with what you can do to customize your page, but Facebook seems to cater to an older crowd.  But anyway, I sure wouldn't mind upping my numbers there too!

I plan on letting my Ex onto my Myspace page tomorrow.  Things are looking good so far, I've gotten a lot of you guys listed now and I spent part of the day uploading new pics.  Things are looking much better!  I'm curious to see how many more will link up - I appreciate everyones help!

I'm a long time usenet guy. There are no moderaters, no smiley faces, and no picture representations of your "personality."  Adults joke, debate, plan events and interact with one another with nothing more than text.

Usenet is dying and the forums have taken hold.  This is a good one in so far as the moderaters are extremely lienient with their power to squash anything other than mundane speech.

This social networking thing is a complete mystery to me however.  The people you know and interact with become your "friends" and write "how ya doin" on your wall everyday?  WTF?  If you already know and interact with these people everyday, couldn't they just write a "how ya doin" e-mail?  Do we really need dedicated systems and servers for this?

I hate to side with your wife but isn't myspace so 2008 and facebook is where it's at?  I don't have either so I'm not hip at all, Just picking up what I hear on the streets.

I forgot about this thread!  Yeah, I'm pretty much just on FB anymore.  I've found friends I grew up with in Michigan by the dozens.  It's cool to talk to them 25+ years later.  Yeah, MySpace will probably die before long.  FB displays useful information better wothout all the clutter.

I may have to check out Twitter one of these days, heh heh...

Most on my FB are people I found through the FB search engine - I then added them to my 'friends'.  I moved away from Michigan when I was 16, so many that I've found were friends from back then that I wouldn't have ever found otherwise.  Also, with Wall posts, I may have 3 or 4 conversations going that will span several days (like posts on here).  It's also easy for posting pictures of stuff going on (like all my remodeling i'm doing right now).

I guess you'd have to experience it to resolve the mystery completely.

 It's easier to find people on Facebook. Type their name in then narrow it down by location, work and school. I found plenty of people on here from school and my shipmates from the Navy. Found the Warrior page on there also.
