     Hi, what tire is wider ?

    The metz is wider. About 1/2", I think. But, the avon lasts alot longer. I have 3200 miles on my avon, and it looks new.

    I agree with Ross.  Tried both, and Avon is much harder and last longer.  The Metz looks better (wider) though.

    Keep in mind that the Metzeler 260/40R is designed for a 9-1/2" wide preferred rim for optimum performance & tire life
