My brother and I will be heading to Grove Creek for the test and tune tomorrow and maybe for the bracket races later that night. This will be the first time either of us has drag raced at a track. I will have my bike, Jim is bringing a 73 LeMans Sport.  If anyone is interested it would be nice to see more then one warrior there.

So how did the Warrior run?

So how did the Warrior run?

Bike ran good until the belt snapped on the 11th run. The track finally started to hook in the early afternoon, lost the belt on the 1-2 shift.

    1st run was a 8.86 sideways through 1st

Worst run 9.01sideways through 1st and most of 2nd

    Best run 8.26 with a 1.91 60ft. @85mph

All my reacton times sucked, best one being .488

My dealer said msrp for a Yamaha belt is $470.00 now days. I get a pretty good discount but I'm gonna have to shop around, that's just to much money.

Warrior spotting this morning. Mike, you flew by me this morning just past the fish lake interchange. I saw a bike coming up behind me and when I knew it was a Warrior, I thought it had to be you....and I was right. Bike sounds awsome. Thinking the speedo in my car must be wrong. I need to accelerate some. ha ha. Wink

That's funny... I "sited" Mike on his lawnmower this weekend, also.  He was really flyin' then, too.

Sorry I didn't stop in when I saw you Mike.  You looked busy with your lawn.  I was just out for a joyride with my son.

Check Dennis Kirk.  I think that's where I purchased my belt a few years back.  You can buy them for around $150 bucks if I remember.

I bought the Gates polychain through Performance Edge for $199, but thank you for the tip. Wasn't sure how taking the swing arm off would go, but I really enjoyed it. A couple more days for the belt to get here and we're back to riding.

Anybody attend the Woodtick festival in Cuyuna this weekend?  I did not see any Warriors there, but I was only there part of the day on Saturday.  They had a dyno machine there and I put my Warrior up, only $25.00 for a diagnostic run.  Bike has stock intake, No PC III, No ECU bump, but I have the V&H Bigshots with quiet baffles (minus the fiberglass wrapping).  I pulled 73.4 HP and 101 foot pounds of torque.  Pretty pleased considering I also averaged about 50 MPG this weekend.  Also a guy in our group has a stock M109R and he was flapping his jaw at me.  He pulled 110 HP and 94 foot pounds of torque.  Only a built S&S 124 motor out pulled him with 120HP.  I would still like to try the M109R 0-80 from a standing start.

    Hey Chuck,

My problem is that I have a 6 yr old in T ball and my rides are mostly spur of the moment.  The ride up to the festival was organized by my snowmobile club and we had about 34 bikes in the pack.  It was a blast!    The festival happens this same weekend every year and it is a benefit for the local fire station.  I will definitely post up if I get a free Saturday coming up!

Post up about those runs also.  I like to attend those rolling bike shows.  You never know who or what you'll see.

I take it you guys know about the flood run in September on the 19th.  Check out floodrun.org for the details.  Don't know if I can go yet, but will let you know closer to the event.
