Infidel Dog:
Damon: I did live there for a couple years (late 2003 - late 2005). I also speak Egyptian Arabic fluently and Classical Arabic semi-fluently.
I notice that most of your posts begin with "I did this......" or "I did that......" All about you. You should be proud of yourself that you appear to have no "self-esteem" issues. That's good. You should be proud that you have "been there - done that" too. But let's not confuse fluency in language or "good" education with intelligence. Why are you here Damon. Are you ready to "register" to become an Infidel???? What do you intend to contribute to this thread?
As you may have noticed, most of the "rebuttals" to what I have to say are not actual rebuttals, but rather attacks on my credibility, or attempts to discredit what I'm saying due to some flaw in me or lack of experience or whatever By pointing out that I lived in the Mideast for a while, I'm not trying to say that I know everything and that I've got it all figured out. I'm simply pointing out that, contrary to the way I'm usually treated, I'm not some ignorant kid who's never set foot outside some evil, misguided, liberal university. That's all.
There's a simple remedy to this: if people would actually address my arguments, rather than attack me or imply that I'm not qualified to have an opinion, I could stop pointing out that I've been around the block once or twice.
