Mike, really long story you would have to go back through all of the locked posts related to the topic to get updated. I think you have read most of them because like you said in one thread...

We are just some Proud Americans, proud of America, and proud to be here in America. We are by no means saying that Proud Americans are Infidels.

Rules are if you want to disagree with another forum member do so just be respectful and do not call them names or try to belittle someone becuase you think it is cool and you dont agree with them. Common courtesy goes a hell of a long way.

Yea, I was told that there were some that were some members that were offended, thinking that we are calling Proud Americans Infidels. And the reason for the club was to get a rise out of people. That is old news and is not the reason for the club. My name change was originally directed to some one but that is old news also. Other than that I don't know what to tell ya. I am sure this one will get the lock down also. As long as we follow our rules and are courteous of others and professional there should be no reason for a lockdown. We will see? You can shoot me an email anytime brother I usually check it a couple of times a day. And the club site logo is the handy work of InfidelRat I am sure he wont mind sending you the info to plug it into your sig line. I think I still have it in my inbox I will try to send it to you. Gimme a minute and then check your email as long as you have that option in your profile you should get it.

So, if a few members were "insulted" by what they thought was YOUR intention, why didnt they just ask YOU? I understand not everyone was around for the initial name change but they most certainly COULD have pm'd you. It was working then. lol

Well I will admit, this has been an interesting show in Human Interest if nothing else.

I cant wait to see how it pans out.

There are a few out there that I know are biting there tongues as all this goes down, and although I know it is only to stir the pot, I am curious as to their thoughts.

I am a big fan of Public debate that is held in an adult manner. Logic prevails over name calling and an individuals thoughts can be expressed and countered by someone of a different mind set. If I think I am right, and You think you are right, try to prove me wrong, dont call me names.

And yes, I understand this is a MOTORCYCLE forum and all of this is marvelously representative of the different personalities that you encounter on bikes everytime you go out. I think that the ANYTHING GOES part of the forum would be similar to Sitting around a Bar expressing you thoughts. Somone may not agree. So, that makes for intelligent conversation.

Ok, maybe not so much around a BAR but you get my drift.

I agree with you and the name calling is what sparked it off. If you dont agree with something ok disagree and argue your point like an adult not like a bunch of children on the play ground.

And the Bar analogy is right on.
