AlanH: messx03: Sharp: BTW, that little pecker in there help disturb the exhaust flow and create more back pressure. The Thunder Mountain Monster baffle uses the same theory, except theirs has a washer welded to the top of the post....picture an electrical wire ground loop. Thanks Sharp, I thought I had read that somewhere before . Its hard to believe that little tit does anything for backpressure. +3 ..... I too read about this methodology recently, in a cycle magazine, except that they used a bolt & nut with a cross drilled hole and verified the results while on a dyno!

Yep , thats where I remember reading that. I'll get some Dyno results when I take it to the Ducshop in a week or so.
Well........How goes this pipe? Did you get it on that dyno?
BTW, that back pressure device does indeed work.....that's why Thunder Mountain is in business...and my torque was saved after going to Samsons.

Not on the dyno yet but the seat of the pants dyno feels great. The map is also working good as the plugs look ideal.
That is a great looking pipe, I'm glad you like it. I love my Wicked Bros. Warlock pipe. The fit and finish is superb. Another great thing I love about 'em is they are very unique.
Found the listing for the Cobra Pipe in the Pipe City site....Wicked Bros is now Fuggin and the Cobra and other Wicked Bros products are listed there.

messx03: joshuaerdman: Is it baffeled? Technically its not baffled but They told me there are internals that help back pressure . The only thing I can see is a little pecker sticken up in the pipe. anyone know what this is?

That's a baffle, believe it or not...
+1.. Does not take much to create a little back-pressure by disturbing the flow. They must have done some testing to come out with the "penile" design... LOL
Very Nice Randy......
How bad is the scraping with this pipe. I noticed they have the viper style with the stright slash cut, do you think this style would be any better for staying off the ground?
They look good Randy.
I'm no fan of long pipes & there's very few 2/1 short pipes offered by any maker.Fuggin is the only maker I would consider if I ever replace my Samson's.My choice of which of their 3 2/1 pipes would be a hard 1.

I am actually getting new pipes with heat sheilds from Fuggin because they never sent my heatsheilds for the Cobra.Said they needed to make the sheilds the same time as the pipes for proper fitment . When I ordered the new pipes I ask if they could give me a straight or slash but for clearance issues because yes these pipes do scrape in the hard rights. Fuggin said no problem . Still waiting on the new ones.
Holmes: Do you know if they are going to send you something like the vipers, or are they still going to give you a turn out pipe just with a slash cut? I am looking at these pipes and am just wondering what they are offering. Also you know that Low and Mean gives a $50 discount on these pipes to any forum members right? They just want pics in return.

Doug at Fuggin said he could just slash cut the exhaust tip , so Im thinking it will look similar to the Viper.
