If you do the 33th frnt pulley you can use your stock belt but you will have to machine 1/8" off the inside for clearance. Do a search as stated before and you'll find lots of info. Just about anything you can think of doing, somebody has been there done that.

If the 33 tooth pulley is available aluminum or steel, buy only the steel.  The Popular Mods post in the Technical section has these links to conversations. I've filled in the gap for 33-tooth pulley conversations.  Its good to listen-in before jumping-in.  Where to buy is fairly easy as you no doubt have discovered.  Most of us mention good vendor experiences.

well i was looking at changing the gear ratio on my warrior to bring the revs down a bit when cruising. I have seen everyone praise of the 33 tooth pulley, i am interested in one but ive looked and looked where can i pick one of these up and whats a decent price for one. Also i have read about the 65 tooth rear pulley one these has anyone tried a 61 tooth pulley. I have no idea if it would work or not. Any suggestions on which is a better the rear pulley swap or the front pulley swap would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

ya i did the search and found all the info on how to o the 33 tooth front pulley i just couldnt find a pulley to buy anywhere but found a few now thanks

gman....the PN for the front Road* 33T pulley is 1999~2003 - PULLEY, BELT: 4WM-17651-00-00

You will need to machine the pulley to fit on the Warrior as it is made for 1 1/2" wide belt used on the earlier Road*. The machining is req'd to clear the middleshaft case of the Warrior (1/8"). There is lots of press on this subject where other members use the stock width belt. Here is some reading mat'l on the subject in different flavors []

Now the '04' & > Road* does use the narrower 1 1/8" belt and i believe it has 33T? but there has never been anything posted on the forum regarding this pulley being used on the Warrior that i am aware of, but i've been wrong before.

You should be able to pickup the earlier 33T pulley new from the dealer for $70.00 and then pay a shop $35.00~$50.00 to machine it with a carbide cutter on a lathe and you'll still be ahead of the game.

I was very lucky and won mine back in Oct '06' on Ebay for $36.75 landed and in like new condition []
