Been there, done that...  except the being murdered part.  Maybe next time!

I did a cross country trip last year just for shi)ts and giggles in my car and finally got to see Graceland while out that way but didn't have time to tour the Gibson factory.  Sad  It's too bad you only have one measly week, there's so many things you could do and see and people to meet if you had more time.  One day I want to get back to Washington D.C. because when I was there I was pressed for time also.  Anyway, your trip sounds fun and I hope it goes great for you.

I've done the cross country deal myself..quite a few times and I really wish I could have taken a lot more time to see the places I drove right through.  We live in a beautiful country with some awesome landscapes that you can easily ride a bike through...I would  love a Chi town to LA on historic 66

And its funny how it`s the simple things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes
There`s no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I`ve come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise you glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried

Australia was great but if there's two things they don't excel at it's good food and beautiful women.  I am however, extremely happy to have visited the Great Barrier Reef and experienced that first hand before I died.

    WannaB:

in kentucky; over to Cumberland Falls. see "cumberland falls" while you are in Kentucky, only waterfall in the western hemisphere with a "moon bow" like a rainbow, but at night. really nice twisty road too over to 27. hwy 27 is a fun road, then you can take HWY 116 (devil's triangle) back over to the interstate to make up time on your way to deal's gap. after deal's gap and cherohaula ( a must since you are down here), I'd hit the blue ridge parkway to go north.  that sounds like a dream trip man. Enjoy, and be safe. we will see you when you get here. good luck

I just looked up some of that on the net. Looks AWSOME! Thanks for lettting me know about it, Ill def be checkin that out, but prob on the way home.......Any1 else have any suggestions?

wonder were that road goes...and how fast I can get there.

Basically if I knew where you were planning on coming into TN/Southern KY at I could probably get you over into east TN on some nice roads.

Ill prob be coming right through where your at, Wannabe just told me about Cumberland Falls so ill be stopping there on my way home.

I changed my route alittle and now ill be coming home through TN.

Re: Going on a Trip, where should I go?

I want to start by saying thanks to every1 that helped out with the suggestions on what to see and where to ride. And a special thankx to Wannabe for meeting up with me while I was at Deals Gap.

Awsome trip. I am putting together a slide show from all the pics I took (somewhere around 300) to kinda show the whole trip. Caught some kewl dirt track races in OH at Eldora Speedway. Oh river was a nice ride and all of KY was really kewl, nice scenes. The Dragon was awsome also went threw teh Great Smokey Mtns. The Dragon and the rest of 129 in NC was just plain sweet, same with the Hell Bender (RT 28). I did leave a little piece of paint on the Dragon though. Put some spice in the trip. Scuffed the leather but other than a bruise, im fine. Will put more info up when ive got the slides complete.

Thanks again guys. Will def try to make the Warrior Rally @ TOTD in April!

wonder were that road goes...and how fast I can get there.
