I re-sent the e-mail to Scott and he stated that he put me on the list.  I still think it would be pretty cool to know how many requests or how much interest they need to put a set of pipes into production.

we need to hound V&H more, everyone that wants the pipe needs to e-mail and the ones who have mailed already need to do it again.

wonder if Hardkrome or someone else would be intersted in producing this pipe? pep?

V&H is our best option. They have most of the tooling in place so the amount they'd have to spend to make the pipe would be far less than any other manufacturer. Plus there would be the copyright problem.
You hit the nail on the head when you said we need to continue to "flood" V&H with emails and phone calls. An email a week isn't going to get this done!

This needs to be reorganized or we won't get anywhere.  What you need to do is estimate what V&H will sell them for, regular price, based on their other exhaust system designs.  Then you need to post a Group Buy and find out how many members are REALLY honestly willing to buy a set if made, assuming at retail price for now.  Then take 1/3rd of that number to allow for members selling their bikes and buying other exhausts in the meantime.  By next spring (which isn't very far away) you should have a reasonable number of committed buyers and then maybe V&H will see the market exists.

I e-mailed them last week saying I would buy a set but got no reply. I even sent a photo of Pep's excellent work showing how great the Warrior would look. -

Again I would like to ask the question: What are the guidelines that V&H or any other company uses to determine if there is a market for a new set of pipes?  Is there a way we could find out.  Seems to me that is what we need to know. For giggles I will e-mail Scott that question and see what he says about it.

Re: The Vance & Hines Big Radius 2-1 Mod

I spoke with Scott at V&H yesterday. I had shot him an email about how many request do they need to eventually make a pipe. He said management won't give him a number. The emails have been tapering off so it's not as hot of an item as it was. There was mention that they were looking into the Big Radius 2-2 for the Raider and the Warrior, but nothing definite.

He agreed that this makes absolutely no sense for several reasons 3 of which are:
    1) They already have a lot of guys interested in the BR 2-1
    2) They wouldn't need to make the muffler section since the Harley & Raider version are basically the same. They'd only need to attach them to the proper head pipes.
    3) The BR 2-1 will out perform the BR 2-2.

Anyway, he said don't give up. Keep buggin them to make the 2-1. I believe ther will be much more interest when the riding season is over for most of us. At that time we may attempt a group buy.

I'm a new member with a 4 week old 2008.  This is definitely THE pipe.  I emailed Scott as well.  And if a group buy is organized, I'm in.

I'm in.  That's the hottest exhaust I've ever seen on a Warrior.

I'm currently not free to say what's happening at V&H in regards to the Big Radius 2-1 for the Warrior, but it appears that we may be making some progress. I'll update as soon as I have some solid info. Please be patient.

I hope the price is right if it moves forward and is produced.

     Hey guys,

I sent them an e-mail yesterday and got this response:

Thank you for your e-mail.  I have you on my counts and it will help to get this project moving forward in our future projects.  Get all your guys to e-mail in on the Big Radius 2 into 1 for the Warrior.  I need as many names as possible.

I’m sure it will function better than expected.  Thanks and take care.
