Signing in on a different computer.................

I can't get signed in on a different computer!?  Why is that?

When I try, it gives me a window that says that my screen name has not been verified or something similar.

I will be getting a new computer soon and I'm worried that I'll have to go through a bunch of unnessicary BS to get back on here....

Could very well be security features or settings on that particular computer.... for example, cookies should be activated (allowed to create) for the web to save login parameters on your PC... If you have cookies disabled you might be getting a login error... I'm just speculating on this I did not design this site but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night..Big Smile

I have a simular problem but with my blackberry. I use to be able to sign in but no longer can I think the problem started around the time the site change or shortly after. I thought it was just a problem with my blackberry but I also tried signing in with my friends unit and still had no luck. My error message saids something about a problem with the java script. Any suggestions??

Well... If this web uses Java applets (not just java scripts) you might not be able to login from a mobile device. I just tried with my Windows Mobile 5 device and wihile I can navigate the site I can't login... the login button does not activate as if waiting for a javascript to finish...

These are usually limitations on mobile devices and their lack of a Java Virtual Machine.... Look to see if you find any Java downloads for you device, this might help... While I dont see any java applets running on this site I can not be sure CarKnee should be able to answer this... as for javascripts, yes there are a lot of them in this site but most should be able to run on a mobile device. Check your device internet browser settings for any javascript options and enable them..

And if any of you get erros login in from a PC then try to install JAVA from www.java.com to see if it helps.

Thank you for the tip! Yes I tried checking my device internet settings but still had no luck either.  I will try checking JAVA.com too but am pretty much convinced that my mobile device is not compatable.  No big deal! Thanks anyways.

I got a iphone last night and it wouldn't let me log in. Kept saying I needed to setup a new account with password. I think it was a site problem

Re: Signing in on a different computer.................

Sometime If I just want to keep up with the latest Post I use the RSS feeds on the "Active Topics" area to my PDA Phone... its easier and no hassle with navigation... true you cant post but you stay up to date...

Now you have to decide what RSS reader to use and most of them wont show pictures... I used the one from the microsoft web called viigo...

You can download it here... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/totalaccess/software/viigo.mspx

It's a simple solution that works, but there are better RSS software out there if you look...

This one also has an shipment tracking UPS/FEDex.... Feed that gives you updates on you package... havent tried it yet but it looks good, you can also keep up with sports, lotto numbers or whatever site has RSS Feeds....

Isn't it time to get up to date with technology? For all you saying to yourselves what is this RSS thing... If you are using Internet Explorer 7 and you press on the Star (Favorite) there is a tab that says RSS this is where all your subscribes RSS Feeds are.... try it.. just click on the RSS Feed Icon on the bottom of Forum here for exmple "Active Topics" and after you subscribe go to you favorites RSS and view it.. you'll see what it does..
