    Prayers for dad Thursday morning

Hey guys. Just a quick update. Dad's surgery has been scheduled for tommorrow/Thursday morning. I'm not too worried about it because he has great doctors and the procedure is very common. There is always that small chance though, that something could go wrong. Sooooo...if you pray, say a prayer for him in the morning and if you don't, then wish him luck or whatever it is you do.

    Thanks,

    JD

Re: Prayers for JD PARK's Father

He guys. The Dr.'s said dad's surgery was a success. As Dwight mentioned, they did a  quadtriple bypass instead of the triple. Dad was understandably, pretty much out of it all day after that. We were able to see him around 3'ish. He wasn't concious at that time but was later in the day. I asked how he was and he said "I'm very tired." His voice was very low because they had just taken the breathing tube out so his throat is sore. He was very pale and seriously looked lifeless to me. It was hard seeing him that way. The nurse says tommorrow will be his toughest day, so far as pain goes but they say he'll probably be up and walking by the end of the day. The last time we visited him today, his heart did something wierd and the alarm went off, the nurse left the room and asked us to leave. That was scary. He's stable now and we've just come back to the hotel to get showers and some sleep. I only got about three hours last night and today was very long. Keep the prayers coming. Thanks guys. JD

Re: Prayers for JD PARK's Father

Hey guys. Dad was moved out of SICU today and into his own room. Big Smile He had a very .....mmmm....motivated nurse today. She had him up and walking three times by 10AM. He walked out of ICU to the waiting room first thing this morning, which was great because the kids were with us for the first time and he got to see them. He keeps referring to his nurse as Drill Sgt. something or other. Says she reminds him of a Sgt. he had in the Army that he hated. I think it's good for him 'cause he's ready to go home just to get away from her. LOL. Dr. says he may be able to go home tommorrow but we won't know til his regular Dr. sees him in the morning. He seemed so much better today which I am thankful for.

Anyway, he's got a long way to go but he's up to it and so are his family. Yes Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. You guys are a great bunch.
