So, if the title is changed, it must be official!

    It is on!

And Chris, sorry to hear about the ankle.  and it has been stated on this site, left ankle for shifting, right foot is for braking and not breaking

Initially Mike was the only one that was good for Saturday.  Now the 4 of us have chimed in for a Sunday ride.  Let's see if others commit and then work on meeting places later in the week, sound good?

I would love too, but we are loading up the family truckster for the beach. I know of a couple of sneaky roads around here. Problem is the state likes to screw up the roads between rides. The latest victim is from Shepardstown to 340 (I think Paula mentioned it) They grooved all of the cool turns on rt 230.  Anyone run River road from 522 at the bridge in Hancock to Hedgesville? Runs parallel to rt 9 without all the traffic

That would be 2 1/2+ from Springfield each way.

Weather forecast now calls for full face helmets Storm

Re: VA WV Group ride Sat 28th

We should know about the weather in another 48 hours, I don't know how you all feel about riding in the rain.  For me, if it's raining in Martinsburg before we leave NOVA then I'd rather not go.  But if it just shows the possibility of afternoon storms then I'm ready to go.  Shean, we could meet somewhere and p/u Mike and then head to WV.  I'd like to go up RT 7 to RT 9 to meet up w/ Paula or some other back roads thus avoiding 66 and 81.  Are you all good with those rain decisions?  Other theory's.

im with you if its already raining or if rain is 80-90% in the forecast then I'd rather not go.  if they are calling for chance of showers then im willing to risk it.

Having been caught in the rain this afternoon, I will wait on the forecast before i decide to go up to PA.

Speaking of PA, Route 16 is pretty cool, as is Tannery Road.  Sweepers and Twisties all the way.

I dont know if i want to go up to PA but dont let that stop your plans.  I can break off any time and cruize on back home

Well, I'm not interested in riding to PA.

Not really concerned about the rain at this time but also not interested in riding in a thunder storm either.

I am either going to work in 30 minutes or will have to go in tomorrow at 1 AM.  So I may not be up for either a ealry morning or long ride.

Re: VA WV Group ride Sat 28th

I suppose a Sunday ride is based on the weather.  50/50 shot.  Shean please let us know how your work schedule dictates your departure time.  Mike, earlier it seems that you changed your family plans so that you could ride on Sunday.  Sorry about the threat of rain.  Paula, sounds like your heading to PA, please let us know so we can decide if we need to head to Martinsburg.

I'm going to change oil/filter this AM then head to Whitts in Manassas for their two day open house.  Should be there from 12 to 2 today. Sales must be down, last year they had Outback with petite filets cater their event, this year Hard Times and chili dogs.  Remember last year: http://rswarrior.com/forums/t/55930.aspx?PageIndex=2  Anyone want to meet at Whitts today, seems today's rain will hold off till much later.
