    Intake question

I have an 05 warrior that has intake, exhaust, and a USB PC lll on it. The bike cuts out when the throttle is held steady at around 2500rpm. The throttle completely drops out until the rpms drop to about 2000. I have tried many things to cure this problem including having several custom maps programed for the bike. I think the intake is sucking in too much air and its throwing off the air pressure sensors causing the bike to shut down until a lower rpm is reached. The intake is basically just 2 K&N filters mounted directly to the throttle bodies. I don't want to spend a lot of cash to go back to a stock setup, not to mention loose hp, but I am weary about going with another after market setup and having the same problem. Any way the intake is only a guess at the problem, but I'm fairly sure that is what it is, any sugestions?

First welcome to the family. If you do not want o go back to the stock set up(which I don't blame you) go with a bak. Churchkey, P.R., or Barons. They are al very good systems. It will all depend on what you want to spend. Or you can do a search on B.A.K. on the search key and you will find a huge amount of info. Or you can come up with your own system of bak. What ever you decide good luck.

Don't think there is anything wrong with you intake, and going to a different BAK, won't cure the problem.  Sounds to me like your Throtttle Postioning Sensor is going out.  Have you had the TPS recall done yet?  Does it tend to buck, back fire and snort when you try to accelerate through it?  If so, it's most likely the TPS.

If you want it done right, do it yourself - then explain what you did to the engineer.

Sounds alot like this thread http://rswarrior.com/forums/t/22937.aspx  Also, I think the pick up coil was a recall part on 05's (mine was)

If no one is pickin' on you, you are probably getting fired!

Great first post.  Welcome. It doesn't sound like an air intake problem.

First you should verify the two most recent recalls were both done, especialy the TPS.  If they were already done, you might already know there are three or four similar posts floating around here in the last few months.  I think one was bad gas from sitting all winter.  One was a bad sensor - don't remember which sensor.

Do you know how to check error codes yet?  Try: http://rswarrior.com/forums/t/465.aspx

Also maybe somethig here will give you a clue: http://rswarrior.com/forums/p/54664/726842.aspx
