    Fuel Tank and Hoses

This evening I removed my fuel tank for my LED project.  In the process I discovered that the secondary fuel line coming from the front of the tank was disconnected from wherever, and that there was oil on the frame beneath the tank.

Refresh my memory, what is the secondary line, and what is with what appears to be a heavy oil residue?

The two small hoses at the left front corner are tank vents. There is a tee in one of the 2 hoses that connects to the front bottom of the air box with a short piece of hose. The short hose that connects to the tee is a drain hose for the air box. The crankcase  breather hose off the right side of the rear valve cover also connects to the air box & oil vapor from the engine collects in the air box & when it gets excessive it drains out the small hose to the tee & down on the ground. Suggest removing the top air box filter & clean the oil residue out of the air box.

If you have a big air kit disregard the above. Cool

I noticed the same symptoms on mine today after taking the bike for a short test ride. I'm still running the stock airbox too.  I had removed the tank while doing some work and then reassembled everything.  Afterwards I noticed a few drops of oil coming from the vent lines under the bike. I'll pull the tank in the next few days and check the airbox to see if any oil is building up in there.

    I had removed the tank...

Is the oil tank part of the transfer case or anything?  Or can you remove it like a separate oil bag?
