I am to blame. I know many vendors have PM'ed and Emailed me and I was the one not following through. I am trying to fix that. I want to try to get this back on track.

That being said, I have already begun to wip the "Marketplace" of rswarrior into shape.

You should see that classified and vendor section of the site have some changes; more should be expected.

I have a very basic "Advertise" page with a contact form that ties directly into my shiny new CRM.

Certain members already have their "Vendor Badge" you will see more of this

I am hoping to get official monthly giveaways back!

Vendor Portal for immediate modifications to your advertising campaign

I ask that all members who have emailed, or PM'ed, me to please submit the contact form on the advertise page. I realize this is frustrating for you since I am the one who never followed up, but I would love to try out the new CRM ;)

The feature I am referring to is Post Tagging in forum posts. I have just turned this feature on (in the Warrior Forums) in the hopes people will begin to use it properly as this can be a huge benefit in locating information you need.

What a tag isn't?
A tag is not a spot for you to enter in your signature line. It
isn't a spot to enter in some funny quote. It isn't a spot to say
something like "warrior."

What is a tag?
Tags are like keywords or labels that you add to a post to make it
easier to find later. You can tag a post with phrases like "2002 TPS Recall." Later if you look for information of
the TPS recall, you can just click that tag and get all posts that have
been tagged that way.

What is the difference between searching and posting?

A search will return posts where the computer finds your term in the body of the post.

A tag search will return posts where humans explicitly associate a term to a post

How will Tag's help me?
Once all members are in the habit of tagging their posts the "Tag Cloud" will start to populate with keywords. The tag cloud is in the right column of the Forum titled "Popular Tags." Once you click a "tag" it will take you to a listing of all posts tagged to that term.

Tags Dumbified
For this site I have made it so that people cannot enter in their own tags in forum posts. You must use the "Chose Tags" button to select some predefined tags.

Example. This post is tagged to "Help" and "New Site" as shown below. If you click on a tag it will take you to a list of all other related posts.

I hope this feature works out and people start using it as it should. If it is used properly I can enable it site wide and make it so that people can enter in their own tags.

[:'(] Certain areas of the site have been neglected, but today I am hoping we can turn that around. I have a dream that one day the "Warrior of the Month" section will be filled with pages of well written prose and overflowing with professional photos. The PCIII maps will be available for all to use and other user content will be easily accessible!

While I doubt it will be that good, I do believe it can get better than its current state!

I think I owe you all some insight as to why the site has become my red headed stepchild... This site started as a fun side project for me in 2002 when my day job was all but challenging and my life as a 24 year old was fun and games. Fast forward 6+ years... my job is challenging and time consuming. My life has gone from drinking copious amounts of beer to changing my 3 month old son's diapers.

When this site started it had a very tight nit group of moderators (geestar, DarkStar and Sangathor) and we have added two as time went on (billh1943 and JPWarrior) . Geestar and billh1943 haven’t been seen from in years. JPWarrior and Sangathor, while both very dedicated to the site have been busy with their own lives. That leaves DarkStar; the concrete that holds this site up. He has stepped up to the tasks that I have left to the wayside. However, he too, has expressed interest in selling his Warrior and moving back to Delphi.

Here is my plan.

I need a few good men (or women) who are interested in becoming volunteer moderators for various sections of the site.
This person will:

Need to be active on the site on a daily basis

Be familiar with the forum software

Be an upstanding member with no prior history of complaints

Almost all forums are needing mod's. (classifieds, general bike talk, anything goes, all warrior forums) Each mod would get a forum.

I am looking to have 1-2 moderators specific to each "Ride Club." The Ride Club areas have traditionally been overlooked by moderators. I think this has always been ok, but I would like to see a person who is very active in their area take charge of their forum.Same requirements as above.

A couple of people who are interested in maintaining the Warrior of the Month section. (People who have helped with this in the past would be welcomed!)
This person would require being able to perform the following:

Dedicate a 1-3 hours a month to this task.

Create a poll in the Forum to tally votes

Write, in proper English, a few paragraph description of the winner’s bike.

Be comfortable with this site’s gallery software.

Any other ideas that you may have to better help rswarrior.com

Are you a graphic artist that wants to help the design?

Etc…

So, “why would I want to volunteer my time for rswarrior.com” you ask? Good question.
If you are passionate about the Warrior and want to help the community this may be for you. You will be criticized by members and have your inbox flooded with requests for help. However, you will get the pride knowing you helped a few people out.

If you are interested, please send me an email with a description of how you think you can help rswarrior.com, why you are a good candidate, and how much time you can spend.

Thanks!
Sean
-CarKnee

site, but then again, this site has never seen a character such as "The
Smack." Here is an email he sent me after his suspension from the site.

For those who don't know:
Eletrik was a positive member on the site for some time! He was doing some cool stuff to his Warrior and sharing with the community. That is what it's all about! However, one day, he posts up on his "hybrid warrior" modification. Things got ugly... other members started flaming him, he started attacking members, moderators tried cleaning up the mess. He posts more copies of his posts (called SPAMing), which then led to moderator editing of posts. Emails were sent and I hoped all could play nice. Wrong. He starts sending PM's to members and moderators flaming them all. Not good. I suspended his account until things could be resolved, then I get this email...

For the record:
I never commented on his project and I
won't now.

"My
word" that he is referring to is that I said he could have his post on
the site... and it is. The post remains and will not be pulled down: http://rswarrior.com/forums/t/117509.aspx

I "reca'nize" that this guy is a total narcissist with an inaccurate view of what the world owes him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

from Eletrik Ride <eletrik_1@yahoo.com>
date Thu, Aug 21, 2008 at 12:09 AM
subject Fw: RSWarrior.com Posts

I
see you have 86ed me from the forum. I complied with your requests,
yet the harassment did not stop. No apology was offered for the
inappropriate behavior from you moderators. My posts were
unjustifiably locked and removed. I did not advertise or spam - I did
what any other member who performed a cool mod would do - I shared it
with the group. This was never about sales or marketing. I have
plenty of both and I don't need to spam or scam for it. All my sales
are word of mouth.

Yeah, I am actually that good and my design
works that well. When you invent something that works as good and for
the right reasons as what I did, it feeds itself. No need to spam
anyone. As a business person yourself, you ought to be able to grasp
that, and in doing so realize that you were wrong about me. The reason
I kept reposting was personal. No one orders me around, and no one
controls me. This was a battle I was going to fight to the bitter
end. I knew this would be the outcome, because there was no way I
could be beaten down. The only way to stop the Smack is to pull the
plug.

You renigged on your word. You let the moderators screw
with my posts even after you said I could post about my mod. In doing
so, you support the minority of your members who were either to stupid
or jealous to react in a mature manner. Choosing instead to hurl
insults my way. But none of that phased or stopped me. See, I take no
crap from no man on this earth. No one insults me and no one
disrespects me - EVER. Anyone crossing my path gets smacked down
quick. This is the way it should be - since I have done NOTHING wrong
and NOTHING to deserve the kind of treatment your moderators and
members demonstrated.

By deleting my membership, you do not
win. I am not defeated. Censorship is not victory. By squashing my
right to speak, you only underscore the narrow minded, uneducated,
neanderthol mindset your forum has. I will continue on with my awesome
bike and my successful design with or without your forum. Since I used
my Warrior as a proof of concept platform, I thought it only fitting to
talk about it. I expected other Warrior riders would be proud that
their bike stands as a vehicle to progress this technology. Just
because some of your apelike members and moderators could not
comprehend the technology does not give them the right to enforce
Hitler tactics.

Your loss. My extraordinary skills and talents
are better appreciated by those who actually passed the 6th grade. So
now that I understand you are NOT a man of your word, and what you say
does not necessarily back what you do - I am glad to be rid of the
stress. The horrible conduct of your group was extremely upsetting to
me and it is just as well I leave you all to your own bitter stew.

So
screw you, Sean - you and your group. As hydrogen technology takes a
hold of the entire planet over the next decade (watch the news and
reca'nize), just remember how an honest and creative guy tried to open
your eyes to it and you all just shat in his face. You will eventually
feel sorry for the horrid way you treated someone who tried to help and
educate you. I will be taking apologies from over egotistical,
unjustified, and uneducated fools at the door. I'll try not to rub it
in too much.

BTW, I have 10,000 hits every month on my site.
That's 1,200,000 hits a year. That's a lot of people checking out
hydrogen technology. Not customers, just people wanting to learn
more. A lot of eyes. I will be smashing and bashing your forum (in
typical Smack fashion) enthusiastically in my videos (which have tens
of thousands of viewers as well) and on my site. I'm going to tell
those 1,200,000 people visiting each year how you and your moderators
attempted censorship of me and the technology in the most fascist,
unamerican manner possible. I will tell them about the homosexual
edits in my posts by your moderators, and the attempt at control and
silence with the locking and deletion of my threads. My audience is
worldwide, and I will tell them all how you treated me. By worldwide,
I mean every single continent on the planet with an internet
connection. Look at the counter. People all over are going to know
how the Smack was disrespected. After all I have done and freely given
to you all. You ungrateful P.O.S.

I didn't even mention the
other forums I'm involved with online. Tens and thousands of people
who DO respect me who will learn about the decrepit way you run your
little hole-in-the-wall forum. You are an embarrassment to this
country, and to everything built on the foundations of integrity. Your
breach of word and unethical censorship will be known throughout the
land.

You will reca'nize. Know this.

Smack.

You can manually type a smilie in using standard BB code brackets "[]" with the desired smilie in between!

Here is a list of all smilies available. To use them, just place the code in between brackets!

There are two types of terms: Single Terms and Phrases.

A Single Term is a single word such as "test" or "hello".

A Phrase is a group of words surrounded by double quotes such as "hello dolly".

Multiple terms can be combined together with Boolean operators to form a more complex query (see below).

Note

The analyzer used to create the index will be used on the terms and phrases in the query string. So it is important to choose an analyzer that will not interfere with the terms used in the query string.

Fields

Lucene supports fielded data. When performing a search you can either specify a field, or use the default field. The field names and default field is implementation specific.

You can search any field by typing the field name followed by a colon ":" and then the term you are looking for.

As an example, let's assume a Lucene index contains two fields, title and text and text is the default field. If you want to find the document entitled "The Right Way" which contains the text "don't go this way", you can enter:

title:"The Right Way" AND text:go

or

title:"Do it right" AND right

Since text is the default field, the field indicator is not required.

Note

The field is only valid for the term that it directly precedes, so the query

title:Do it right

Will only find "Do" in the title field. It will find "it" and "right" in the default field (in this case the text field).

Term Modifiers

Lucene supports modifying query terms to provide a wide range of searching options.

Wildcard Searches

Lucene supports single and multiple character wildcard searches.

To perform a single character wildcard search use the "?" symbol.

To perform a multiple character wildcard search use the "*" symbol.

The single character wildcard search looks for terms that match that with the single character replaced. For example, to search for "text" or "test" you can use the search:

te?t

Multiple character wildcard searches looks for 0 or more characters. For example, to search for test, tests or tester, you can use the search:

test*

You can also use the wildcard searches in the middle of a term.

te*t

Note

You cannot use a * or ? symbol as the first character of a search.

Fuzzy Searches

Lucene supports fuzzy searches based on the Levenshtein Distance, or Edit Distance algorithm. To do a fuzzy search use the tilde, "~", symbol at the end of a Single word Term. For example to search for a term similar in spelling to "roam" use the fuzzy search:

roam~

This search will find terms like foam and roams.

Starting with Lucene 1.9 an additional (optional) parameter can specify the required similarity. The value is between 0 and 1, with a value closer to 1 only terms with a higher similarity will be matched. For example:

roam~0.8

The default that is used if the parameter is not given is 0.5.

Proximity Searches

Lucene supports finding words are a within a specific distance away. To do a proximity search use the tilde, "~", symbol at the end of a Phrase. For example to search for a "apache" and "jakarta" within 10 words of each other in a document use the search:

"jakarta apache"~10

Range Searches

Range Queries allow one to match documents whose field(s) values are between the lower and upper bound specified by the Range Query. Range Queries can be inclusive or exclusive of the upper and lower bounds. Sorting is done lexicographically.

mod_date:[20020101 TO 20030101]

This will find documents whose mod_date fields have values between 20020101 and 20030101, inclusive. Note that Range Queries are not reserved for date fields. You could also use range queries with non-date fields:

title:{Aida TO Carmen}

This will find all documents whose titles are between Aida and Carmen, but not including Aida and Carmen.

Inclusive range queries are denoted by square brackets. Exclusive range queries are denoted by curly brackets.

Boosting a Term

Lucene provides the relevance level of matching documents based on the terms found. To boost a term use the caret, "^", symbol with a boost factor (a number) at the end of the term you are searching. The higher the boost factor, the more relevant the term will be.

Boosting allows you to control the relevance of a document by boosting its term. For example, if you are searching for

jakarta apache

and you want the term "jakarta" to be more relevant boost it using the ^ symbol along with the boost factor next to the term. You would type:

jakarta^4 apache

This will make documents with the term jakarta appear more relevant. You can also boost Phrase Terms as in the example:

"jakarta apache"^4 "Apache Lucene"

By default, the boost factor is 1. Although the boost factor must be positive, it can be less than 1 (e.g. 0.2)

Boolean operators

Boolean operators allow terms to be combined through logic operators. Lucene supports AND, "+", OR, NOT and "-" as Boolean operators(Note: Boolean operators must be ALL CAPS).

OR

The OR operator is the default conjunction operator. This means that if there is no Boolean operator between two terms, the OR operator is used. The OR operator links two terms and finds a matching document if either of the terms exist in a document. This is equivalent to a union using sets. The symbol || can be used in place of the word OR.

To search for documents that contain either "jakarta apache" or just "jakarta" use the query:

"jakarta apache" jakarta

or

"jakarta apache" OR jakarta

AND

The AND operator matches documents where both terms exist anywhere in the text of a single document. This is equivalent to an intersection using sets. The symbol && can be used in place of the word AND.

To search for documents that contain "jakarta apache" and "Apache Lucene" use the query:

"jakarta apache" AND "Apache Lucene"

+

The " " or required operator requires that the term after the " " symbol exist somewhere in a the field of a single document.

To search for documents that must contain "jakarta" and may contain "lucene" use the query:

+jakarta apache

NOT

The NOT operator excludes documents that contain the term after NOT. This is equivalent to a difference using sets. The symbol ! can be used in place of the word NOT.

To search for documents that contain "jakarta apache" but not "Apache Lucene" use the query:

"jakarta apache" NOT "Apache Lucene"

Note

The NOT operator cannot be used with just one term. For example, the following search will return no results:

NOT "jakarta apache"

-

The " - " or prohibit operator excludes documents that contain the term after the " - " symbol.

To search for documents that contain "jakarta apache" but not "Apache Lucene" use the query:

"jakarta apache" -"Apache Lucene"

Grouping

Lucene supports using parentheses to group clauses to form sub queries. This can be very useful if you want to control the boolean logic for a query.

To search for either "jakarta" or "apache" and "website" use the query:

(jakarta OR apache) AND website

This eliminates any confusion and makes sure you that website must exist and either term jakarta or apache may exist.

Field Grouping

Lucene supports using parentheses to group multiple clauses to a single field.

To search for a title that contains both the word "return" and the phrase "pink panther" use the query:

title:(+return +"pink panther")

the following is a list of fields defined in CS2 Enterprise Search:

body
rawbody
role
url
link
name
app
sectionid
postid
date
user
userid
title
settingsid
applicationtype
applicationkey
groupid
parentid
threadid
exact
attachmentname
attachmenttext
tag
tagkeyword

Escaping Special Characters

Lucene supports escaping special characters that are part of the query syntax. The current list special characters are

+ - && || ! ( ) { } ^ " ~ * ? : \

To escape these character use the \ before the character. For example to search for (1+1):2 use the query:

\(1\+1\)\:2

For multiple word searches without "and" "or" or "not", "OR" is assumed by default.

Searching now searches for near matches in post bodies, attachment names, titles, author name, tags and index-able attachments; additionally it searches for exact matches in the Category/Tag, Author Name, and SectionName fields without requiring additional syntax (Although it still supports the advanced syntax, which might make specific data easier to find) (currently all fields searched have equal weight, which could make searching on a common term, especially one used in a tag difficult, as lucene will score matches higher if they occur in a short field)

Like everything else on the new site, the supporter system has changed as well. Donations for this site are typically done through PayPal and are made to any of the volunteer Moderators as well as the Administrator.

Lets view a comparison between the old site and new site.

Old Site:
You needed to donate within the current calendar year in order to get your year specific badge. Once the January 1st rolled around everyone lost their badges.

Example, say you donate $20 on 12/25/2008. You will get your 2008 badge, but it will be gone on 1/1/2009 at which point you would have nothing.

New Site:
There are no year specific badges. There is one "Site Supporter" badge that will last for one year from the date of donation.

Example, say you donate $20 on 12/25/2008. You will get your Site Supporter badge and keep it until 12/26/2009, at which point you will have nothing.

New Bonus Features:

The new system adds extra levels of support!

For members who donate up to $24.99 within one year (and lifetime total not exceeding $50) you will get your "Site Supporter" badge.

For members who donate $25-$49.99 within one year (and lifetime total not exceeding $50) you will get your "Silver Supporter" badge.

For members who have donated $50 or more over the course of the sites history you will receive a "Gold Supporter" Badge!

Lets run some examples:

Long Time Member

You donated $10 on 1/1/2006.

You get a site supporter badge from 1/1/2005 -> 1/2/2006

No badge starting on 1/2/2006

You donated $25 on 2/1/2006

You get a Silver Supporter badge from 2/1/2006 -> 2/1/2007

You donated $15 on 2/1/2008

You get a Gold Supporter Badge starting on 2/1/2008 and it remains indefinitely!

Short Timer Who wants the Gold

You donate $50 on 2/1/2008

You get a Gold Supporter Badge indefinitely starting on 2/1/2008

Just to reinforce this... this site is free to use. Donations are 100% optional.

So why would you want to donate you ask?

Supporters are shown less advertisements than non-supporters.

You get more gallery space for your images

You get a cool badge that you can brag about

Other features that haven't been implemented (or thought about) yet

Questions:

How much have I donated over the years?
-- On the right side of the Support page you should see all donations made to the site

I donated on xxx date, but I don't see it listed!
-- Please contact me so I can credit your account. Date/Amount/Recipient/PayPal transaction# are all good things to tell me.

How long does it take for me to get my badge?
-- If you were logged into the site and used PayPal it should take no more than an hour. However, donations by mail could take days.

How long does it take for me to get my "Silver/Gold" badge?
-- See Above.

The five-time AMA ProStar Hot Rod Cruiser class drag racing champion returns.

Twin-bore fuel injection provides spot-on fuel delivery under all conditions.

Rigid, light and strong aluminum frame, inverted 41mm fork and an adjustable
link-type rear end provide near-sportbike handling.

200/50-ZR17 rear radial tire looks right and puts all that torque efficiently
  to pavement.

Engine:

The industry standard for V-twin excellence features 102-cubic-inch (1670cc)
displacement, pumping out asphalt-ripping torque and acceleration.

Air-cooled, long-stroke, OHV, 48 degree cylinders with pushrod valve actuation
keeps engine height down; large cooling fins, ceramic composite bore plating
and a one-piece head cover provide more efficient heat dissipation.

Four-valve cylinder head design uses two spark plugs per cylinder for efficient
combustion and more power at all rpm.

Hydraulic valve lifters driven by twin camshafts deliver exceptional performance
  and lower maintenance needs.

Forged pistons accommodate higher rpm performance thanks to reduced reciprocating
  mass.

Rare earth flywheel magnet for faster-revving power delivery and increased
  high rpm durability.

Twin-bore fuel injection with throttle position sensor (TPS), aspirated by
free-breathing twin air cleaner system, ensures optimal fuel delivery, great
throttle response and maximum power throughout the rev range

State-of-the-art electronic control unit (ECU) ensures precisely metered fuel
delivery and optimal ignition spark control using 3-D digital ignition mapping
  for each cylinder.

and a massive muffler that boosts horsepower while putting out a throaty V-twin
  growl.

Dry sump lubrication system uses a handy spin-on filter.

Smooth-shifting five-speed transmission features close-ratio gearing for excellent
  roll-on performance at all rpm.

Smooth, low-maintenance belt drive system has a narrow-design belt that reduces
unsprung weight for improved rear suspension performance.

Electric starting system features solenoid-activated auto-decompressor for
  easy starting.

Chassis/Suspension:

Specially designed, class-exclusive, aluminum double-cradle frame and swingarm
increases rigidity by 41 percent (over standard Road Star frame), for tremendous
  strength and durability.

Super-rigid 41mm Kayaba inverted telescopic fork in beefy, cast-aluminum triple
clamps gives 5.3 inches of travel for exceptional sport-oriented performance.

Link-type, preload and rebound adjustable single rear shock delivers outstanding
rear-wheel tracking for precise handling and plush ride quality.

Dual 298mm front disc brakes and radial-mount four-piston calipers, and a
282mm rear disc combine for incredible, supersport-spec stopping power.

Pulley design gets all that power to the back wheel with even more style.

  Lightweight, Supersport-inspired five-spoke wheels wear low-profile, competition-spec
120/70-ZR18 front and a massive 200/50-ZR17 rear radial for awesome traction
  and cornering grip.

Extra-long, 65.6-inch wheelbase and deep, plush saddle create added rider
  comfort and well-balanced handling.

Additional Features:

Industry-leading Star Family fit and finish features lustrous paint and
chrome accents (air cleaner, air scoop, mirrors and more) to create a machine
as stunning as it is powerful.

Two-piece saddle is wide and flat for excellent comfort.

Digital headlight-mounted tachometer, odometer and dual tripmeters with
    triple clamp-mounted analog speedometer.

LED taillight provides excellent visibility and very sano look.

Braided stainless clutch and throttle cables.

Extra-wide, 4.0-gallon fuel tank features low-fuel warning light and R1-type

Is the Warrior a cruiser or a sportbike? The answer is yes.

Yes, that's a pushrod, air-cooled, fuel injected, 102 cubic inch (1670cc) V-twin -- that'll blow your socks clean off.

And yes, that's a lightweight aluminum frame with a 41mm inverted fork, monoblock brake calipers and sticky performance tires on three-spoke alloy wheels supporting this welterweight Road Star.

You'll appreciate the Warrior's superior power-to-weight ratio when you dump the clutch and that 200-section rear tire hooks up.

We're talkin' bout a revolution here. The sound and fury of the gnarliest twin we've ever built is housed in a vessel designed to stop and turn like a sportbike.

Can you guess why the Warrior was Motorcyclist Magazine's Cruiser of the Year for `02? Simply put, "It stops and turns and soaks up the bumps better than anything else in cruiserdom."

Total performance. Does anybody make chaps with knee sliders?

Manufacturer's Sugg. Retail Price ... $11,999 ~ $12, 099*

FEATURES & BENEFITS

New for 2003:

Rear shock gains rebound damping adjustment to complement the already preload adjustable, link-type rear suspension.

Liquid Silver & Onyx with Indigo flames color options.

Engine:

The industry standard for V-twin excellence features 97mm cylinder bores
that provide 102 cubic inches (1670cc), pumping out incredible, asphalt-ripping
low-rpm torque and acceleration!

Air-cooled, long-stroke, OHV, 48º cylinders with pushrod valve actuation
keeps engine height down and ensures more uniform heat dissipation due to
absence of a cam chain case.

Larger-bore cylinder features cylinder head with larger cooling fins, ceramic
composite bore plating and a one-piece head cover (for greater rigidity around
the rocker arm) to provide more efficient heat dissipation.

Four-valve cylinder head design uses two spark plugs per cylinder for efficient
combustion and high power at all RPMa.

Valvetrain includes intake and exhaust rocker arms that reduce inertia during
high-rpm performance and higher-lift cams for increased horsepower.

Hydraulic valve lifters driven by twin camshafts deliver exceptional performance
and lower maintenance needs.

New-design, larger-bore pistons feature durable and lightweight forged construction
to accommodate higher-RPM performance with reduced vibration and less reciprocating
mass.

Rare earth flywheel magnet for faster-revving power delivery and increased
high-RPM durability.

Twin-bore fuel injection (FI) with throttle position sensor (TPS), aspirated
by free-breathing twin air cleaner system, ensures optimal fuel delivery,
great throttle response and maximum power throughout the rev range.

State-of-the-art electronic control unit (ECU) ensures precisely metered
fuel delivery and optimal ignition spark control using 3-D digital CD ignition
mapping for each cylinder.

ECU also controls engine air intake velocity by closing one of the dual
intake ducts during low-RPM operation for more efficient power delivery.

High-performance 2-into-1 exhaust system features stainless steel headers
and a massive muffler that boosts horsepower while putting out a throaty V-twin
growl.

Dry sump lubrication system uses a handy spin-on filter.

Smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission features close-ratio gearing for spine-tingling
roll-on performance at all RPM.

Smooth, low-maintenance belt drive system gets an all-new, narrower-design
belt that reduces unsprung weight for improved rear suspension performance.

Electric starting system features solenoid-activated auto-decompressor for
easy starting.

Chassis/Suspension:

Specially designed, aluminum double-cradle frame increases rigidity by 41%
(over standard Road Star frame) and offers tremendous strength and durability
with minimal flex.

Aluminum swingarm, born from R1 heritage, offers superb rigidity and a forward-mounted
pivot point that ensures excellent stability at speed and while cornering.

Highly rigid, R1-derived 41mm Kayaba inverted telescopic fork with 5.3"
of travel for exceptional sport-oriented performance.

Beefy cast aluminum top and bottom triple clamps help increase fork rigidity.

Link-type, preload-adjustable single rear shock delivers outstanding rear-wheel
tracking for precise handling and plush ride quality.

Dual 298mm front disc brakes feature R1-derived, one-piece 4-piston calipers
with fully floating rotors and 282mm rear disc brake with dual-piston caliper
combine for incredible, supersport-spec stopping power.

Lightweight, cast-aluminum 3-spoke wheels wear low-profile, competition-spec
120/70-ZR18 front and a huge 200/50-ZR17 rear Dunlop Sportmax radials for
awesome, launching-off-the-line traction and cornering grip.

Extra-long, 65.7" wheelbase and deep, plush saddle create long and
low center of gravity, added rider comfort and well-balanced handling.

Wide, swept-back, 1"-diameter, rubber-mounted handlebars are easy to
reach and reduce vibration to minimize fatigue.

Additional Features:

Industry-leading Star Family fit and finish features lustrous paint and
chrome accents (air cleaner, air scoop, mirrors and more) to create a machine
as stunning as it is powerful.

Totally trick digital headlight-mounted tachometer, odometer and dual tripmeters
with triple clamp-mounted analog speedometer.

Trick, R6-style LED taillight provides excellent visibility and very sano
look.

Steel fenders combine timeless styling with sleek, aerodynamic profile.

Extra-wide, 4.0-gallon fuel tank features low-fuel warning light and R1
type automatic tripmeter.

Fork lock integrated into main ignition switch for extra convenience.

Powerful 12V 60/55-watt multi-reflector halogen headlight maximizes nighttime
visibility and comes with beautiful chrome finish.
